Trying again
If you fail in a trade, and the pattern is still valid, you can try again.
This is the story:
- We got an engulfer entry, and took it short, with an aggressive stop loss - it stopped out. Lost 1%.
- We got a pin-candle entry, same thing happened. Lost 1%.
- We got another engulfer. This one went to target and made 8%
If the pattern is still valid and you get another entry, why not take it
So it seems that getting a new shoulder, even if you can't move the neckline, doesn't invalidate the pattern.
If you used the head as the stop loss, you'd only have made like 1.5%.
The more aggressive stop loss is more profitable, but takes more resilience and trust in the pattern and system.
